Weekly update from Senior Pastor TJ Anderson. Watch Now
Beginning July 25, 2020, following the Governor's Executive Order, face masks are required at North Heights to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. MORE
North Heights Student Ministry partners with families in their God-given role of training and instructing their students in the Lord. We see our role as preparing students to build a lasting faith through knowledge, relationships and experience. We desire to help students find their true identity and acceptance in Jesus Christ where we believe they will find their greatest joy.
North Heights Student Ministry will be meeting in person this fall and winter! Students can come ready to CONNECT in a safe, socially distanced, masked community. Small groups will be our focus, so we can encourage students in their faith and be wise at the same time. Registration for most activities will not be required unless noted in the event description.
Middle School (grades 6–8) and High School (grades 9–12)
Wednesdays, 6:30-8pm (meal 5:15-6:30pm), Arden Hills
FUN. FRIENDS. FOOD. Through our Refuel Wednesday Nights we desire to equip students to live for Christ, experience the Holy Spirit in their lives, and be prepared to share Christ with others. We see authentic community in our small groups, engaging worship and crazy, fun activities for students to participate in and fun theme nights throughout the year.
Student Ministry loves seeing our students serving on Sunday mornings. When students serve, they not only bless our church community with their gifts and talents, they also experience how God uses them to do His work. Students can serve as ushers, help the tech team, work in the nursery and Kids Sunday School. We encourage students to attend worship with their families if they are not serving. We welcome 6th grade students to join in Kids Sunday School.
Sundays, 10am-10:20am, Arden Hills, Youth Room
For students who serve, grades 6–12
Leaders are learners! EQUIP is a time to connect with each other and discover what's working and what's not. Join us for breakfast, encouragement and prayer before Kids Sunday School. All students are welcome to stop by, say hello, grab a treat and be encouraged.
Sundays, 9-10am, Arden Hills, Room 115
For students grades 7-9
Foundations is a three-year educational experience focusing on the foundations of faith. Through Foundations, our prayer is that students will experience God in an incredible way: that they know He is real for them and living the Christian life is the most exciting, powerful, extreme and incredible life to live. Foundations program is made up of three parts; a class room component, serving opportunities as well as involvement in Student Ministry activities. Sign up by contacting Student Ministries.
Look for the return of First Fridays in 2021.
North Heights Leadership and the Council of Elders have been working on a multi-phase regathering plan within the CDC and government guidelines. All phases will offer Livestream worship at 9am, 10am and 10:45am and on the Facebook.com/NorthHeightsLutheranChurch page.
North Heights rolled out phase one of our regathering plan with pre-arranged in-person groups of 10 or less meeting at the Arden Hills campus. This means that your student may be invited to participate in an in-person small group.
The safety of our students and guests is important to us. We have created a few safeguards that our leaders, staff, and volunteers will strive to uphold. However, knowing that hugs, fist bumps and high fives can be a temptation for many students, who haven’t seen their friends in some time, it is the parent’s or guardian’s discretion whether or not to send their students to public events during this time.
North Heights staff, leaders and volunteers strive to follow these safeguards:
